- Display language: set language to display in Ixquick results
- Font Size: set text size for results page to display (small, medium, or large)
- Country: set the country used for international phone directory search
- Results page colors: set color of results page to bright, dim, or white
- Number of results per page: set number of results to display on results page to 10, 20, 50, or 100
- Open search result in a new window: check to display results in a new window
- Power Refinement: check to enable clustering of results
- Automatic highlighting: check to highlight search terms in results
- Web/picture family filter: check to block adult web or picture results
- Video family filter: check to block adult video
- Secure Socket Layer (SSL)/HTTPS: check to establish secure connection between browser and Ixquick
How to Change Settings in Ixquick Search Engine
- From the Ixquick home page, click my settings at the bottom of the page. Or, click MY SETTINGS at the top of any results page. The My Settings page displays.
- Choose desired settings.
- When finished, click the Save My Settings button at the bottom of the page. A popup displays advising that settings have been saved.
- Click OK. The system returns to the Ixquick home page.
How to Quick Change Ixquick Search Engine Theme
The look and feel of the Ixquick interface can be changed without going to the Change Settings page. Simply click change theme at the bottom of the page or click the tiny hanging light bulb in the top right corner of the page to cycle through settings choices.
